O'Connor Animal Hospital FAQs

  • Do We Take Walk-Ins?

Unfortunately we are by appointment only. Due to limited staff and high appointment demand,  we do not take walk-ins.

If it is an emergency, we may refer you to a 24 hour emergency animal hospital.

  • Your hospital is closed after hours. Where can I take my pet?

You can take your pet to

VCA Metroplex Animal Hospital & Pet Lodge

    (972) 438-7113.

    700 W Airport Fwy, Irving, TX 75062

They are open 24 hours 7 days a week and are 5 minutes away from our hospital.

  • How Much Do You Charge for an Appointment or My Sick Pet?

Pricing depends on the reason for the visit, service requested, weight & age, temperament, and condition/health of the animal.

For sick pets Dr. Kang must see your pet before we are able to provide a professional opinion or estimate. He will let you know during the appointment the cost for any medication, injections, treatment, or services suggested for your pet's well-being.

  • Do We Take Pet Insurance?

We do not work with pet insurance directly. Payment is due upon the end of service and you will get reimbursed by your insurance company. We are happy to email any records your insurance company may need!

  • Do We Have Payment Plans?

No, but we do accept Care Credit & Scratch Pay. Click on the links to apply and you will find out if you are accepted right away!

  • Do We Take Exotic Pets?

Unfortunately, no, Dr. Kang's primary expertise includes dogs and cats.

However, we can do basic maintenance work such as a beak, nail, wing trim for birds, and toenail trim for rabbits & guinea pigs.
